How We Measure Success

Global Ascent’s Monitoring & Evaluation Framework

At Global Ascent, we believe impact shouldn’t just be felt — it should be tracked, evaluated, and improved. That’s why we use both qualitative and quantitative tools to measure our effectiveness, center youth voices, and grow responsibly.

What We Track

Translation Reach

  • Languages Translated — The number of distinct languages we’ve made accessible.

  • Countries Reached — How many nations have accessed or implemented our work.

  • Pages Translated — Individual informational documents or web pages completed.

  • Words Translated — Cumulative word count across all projects.

Volunteer Engagement

  • Active Volunteers — Youth translators, editors, and team leads globally.

  • Hours Contributed — Volunteer time spent on translations, outreach, and operations.

  • Chapters or Teams Launched — Number of organized local or school-based Global Ascent teams.

Content Access & Utility

  • Resources Shared — Downloads, shares, or physical distribution of translated materials.

  • Partner Organizations Using Our Translations — NGOs, schools, or nonprofits using our work.

  • Community Feedback Received — Testimonials and usability input from readers and partners.

How We Use the Results

We don’t collect data for the sake of it — we use it to:

  • Adjust and improve programs in real time

  • Identify what support youth need most

  • Share real impact with donors and partners

  • Highlight success stories and lessons learned

  • Ensure our work remains youth-led, relevant, and equitable
